Mrs Brown’s Boys wins the Christmas TV battle

Not surprisingly a lot of us end up crashing out on the sofa in Christmas day – whether its because of the huge Turkey and ham dinner, or that box of after eights you just couldn’t resist or simply down to the licensing laws a lot of TV is definitely watched. The soaps always battle it out to see who can have the most depressing Christmas day special but more and more it’s the comedy Christmas specials which are winning audiences… and let’s face it what’s really Christmassy about seeing Dirty Den or any other such character getting murdered on a Christmas day? We were delighted to see a home-grown programme win the battle this year with Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special “The Virgin Mammy” coming out on top. Check out who suffered in Mrs Brown’s wake!
